We're all on our own paths, and we've got to make the best of them. Be secure in yourself, your own plans, and who you are!

3. Be passionate about learning.

Rory's wanted to travel the world to develop her perspective on things for as long as we all can remember. She's an avid learner with a huge love for all kinds of education. From learning the history of the music she likes to knowing the politics happening thousands of miles away, she's excited about broadening her perspectives. She's early to every class, studies into the night, and is always down to find out about something new. In short: be open minded.

4. Be goal-oriented.

Being set on your ambitions is a fierce Gilmore trait. Rory isn't one to let go of something she wants, even when the circumstances might not be the best for her. She works hard, tries to be as independent as possible, and often learns the hard way to ask for help. Set your long term and short term goals and try reshape your lifestyle to achieve them!

5. Study. & Study again.

Getting straight A's is no easy feat for all of us - do your best to get the grades you deserve! Work hard, play hard, and reap what you sow. We all need downtime, and we need to be able to get it without procrastinating.

You can't have Luke's Diner, but you can have any other coffee shop near you. Try choosing one that's run by a family, or is generally a small business - they'll appreciate your ins and outs, and you can appreciate the homely vibe! Ask beforehand if they're alright with you staying and studying, or if they have a loyalty card that you can make the best of. Ask everyone their names, be kind and polite!

9. Do your best to be aware of your privileges.

This is actually a swing in the direction away from the way Rory's character developed in the show. Rory's got it all - and sometimes she loses sight of that and thinks that she's had the same life as anyone else in Star's Hollow. Be aware of yourself and be realistic with your choices! Don't look down on anyone, even if you believe you're punching up by doing so. Always be respectful, and try not to judge!
